Adapted from an original ceramic illustration, these beautiful tiles create a casual, rustic warmth in both modern and traditional interiors. ;I’m really inspired by the creativity, ingenuity and craftsmanship embodied by the Garden City pioneers and the Arts & Crafts movement at the turn of the 20th century,’ says designer Dee Hardwicke.

Tile trends – from Art Deco to terrazzo to outdoor tiles

‘My new Pattern flooring design draws on that heritage and on the idea of beauty in simplicity. The geometric flower motif will be equally at home in the hallway of a beautiful Victorian townhouse as in a contemporary apartment or a country cottage, so it’s incredibly versatile. ‘It’s also a lovely way of bringing the outside in and of being able to enjoy a little bit of the natural world whether you live in the city or the countryside.’ The Harvey Maria (opens in new tab) British design team have been creating luxury vinyl tiles since 1995. Vinyl floor tiles are enjoying the flooring limelight right now, thanks to the fact they’re incredibly durable and easy to maintain; they’re also completely waterproof, slip-resistant and compatible with underfloor heating. Vinyl tiles are fantastic for heavy-traffic areas, but can can breathe life into any space in your home.
